WINDSOR, UNITED KINGDOM - JUNE 2008: Pupils from Wootton House pose with flowers in their button holes, a traditional part of the annual June 4th celebrations, at the iconic private school near Windsor, England. The annual celebrations mark the start of the Summer half-term break, and traditionally showcase the variety of activities undertaken at the school as well as being a prominent date in the summer social season in England. The traditional day of celebration of June 4th is also the birthday of King George III. In addition to the historic procession of boats, where pupils dress in tradition naval attire and decorate their hats with flowers, speeches and displays are put on for parents and visitors. Eton College was founded in 1440 by King Henry VI. The College originally had 70 King's Scholars or 'Collegers' who lived in the College and were educated free, and a small number of 'Oppidans' who lived in the town of Eton and paid for their education. Eton has a very long list of distinguished former pupils, including eighteen former British Prime Ministers. (Photo by Christopher Furlong/Getty Images)
